The Italian right-back had returned prematurely from selection last Tuesday with his compatriot Marco Verratti before Squadra azzurra's last match against Lithuania due to muscle fatigue.
Verratti was hit in the thigh and already forfeited the match against Lille on Saturday before being tested positive for Covid, for the second time in a few weeks.
Florenzi had been isolated and Thilo Kehrer had taken his place against Lille for a hardly reassuring performance in view of the Champions League shock Wednesday in Munich.
