The great efforts are continuing to find sources of funding that will enable the existence of the Champions League Final 8 at the Toto Holon Hall.

Holon Mayor Moti Sasson yesterday (Sunday) sent a letter of formal request to the general manager of the Champions League, Patrick Comaninos, next month, and today (Monday) he asked the Minister of Culture and Sports, Hili Trooper, to help bring the prestigious event to Holon.

The Ministry of Sports has a designated budget for hosting international events in Israel, and the club asks the heads of the ministry to help extract the money as soon as possible before the final decision is made.

Another person involved in the efforts is the Minister of Intelligence and a resident of the city, Eli Cohen, who also sent a letter to Minister Trooper and will even inform Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the matter.

The final decision regarding the hosting is expected to be made in the next two days, when in talks between the parties, the club was promised to do everything possible so that the games will take place at the Toto Hall in Holon.

As first reported in "Israel Today", if the games are not held in Holon, the leading cities to host the games are Ankara (if Turk Telecom qualifies) and Nizhny Novgorod.
