FC Nantes and the players' union (UNFP) publicly supported the Canaries player after the insults he suffered on social networks.

FC Nantes denounced on Tuesday the remarks that were made against his player, claiming that they had their place "neither on a football field, nor outside".

The comments were published by an internet user after the defeat of FC Nantes against Nice this weekend (1-2), making the threat of relegation to Ligue 2 very serious. FC Nantes declared themselves "deeply shocked" in a press release.

Since Monday, the French international hope has received many messages of support, in particular from the players' union, the UNFP.
