THE SCAN SPORT - Unable to bear to see Riccardo Calafiori gain time at the end of the match between Ajax Amsterdam and AS Roma, the ball collector lost control of his nerves.

But what happened in the mind of a young ball collector at the very end of the match between Ajax Amsterdam and AS Roma in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

We play stoppage time and the Romans have just scored a goal against the course of the game allowing them to lead to the scoreboard (2-1).

A turn of events that obviously did not please the teenager at the edge of the lawn.

When the ball went out of bounds in his area, and seeing Riccardo Calafiori take all his time to go and retrieve it in order to gain precious seconds, the ball collector visibly supporting the Dutch club, grabbed the leather before send it full in the face to the player.

Taken aback and annoyed but controlling himself, he addressed a few words to the young man then returned to the field….

He then received a yellow card, as much for wanting to save time as for his words to the boy.

The player "understood" the reaction of the ball collector

“I was thinking about a lot of things at the time.

Fortunately, I remained calm.

I would also get annoyed if my opponent tried to buy time in such a situation.

I cannot say that I respect him, but I understand ”, reacted the player after the meeting on

 Sky Italia.

Ajax's ball collector sends a missile to Roma defender Riccardo Calafiori ... who takes yellow behind.

⌛ Not so unfair, when you see how the Roman gets rid of the ball the first time to waste time.

Karma.
