Rachael Blackmore has made horse racing history

Rachael Blackmore became the first woman to win the UK's most highly endowed obstacle race.
On her horse Minella Times, the Jockette won the Grand National ahead of Balko Des Flos.
After 30 obstacles and almost seven kilometers on the track in Aintree near Liverpool, the 31-year-old Irish woman was unbeatable in the race worth the equivalent of 860,000 euros.
»I feel neither female nor male straight, I don't even feel human.
It's just amazing, ”said Blackmore after her victory.
The first two horses are trained by Henry de Bromhead in Ireland.
"Rachael was brilliant," he said.
Minella Times pulled two obstacles in front of the finish and did not give up the advantage up to the line.
Horse dies according to media report
As the Guardian reports, at least one horse died this year.
The "Long Mile" ridden by Luke Dempsey had died.
With Bryony Frost, a jockette is said to be in the hospital after a fall.
The Grand National is considered to be one of the most dangerous horse races in the world and is therefore repeatedly criticized.
For security reasons, the number of participants is now limited to 40.
In 1989 the obstacles and the course were adjusted after a horse had to be euthanized in front of the cameras and another nearly drowned in the moat.
Even after 1989 there were repeated deaths in horses.
