Huge rage in Barcelona over the Clasico referee tonight (Saturday), Jose Mansano, after the 2: 1 loss to Real Madrid.
In Barcelona they were convinced they deserved a penalty after a doubtful foul by Perlan Mandy on Martin Braithway deep in the second half, although the TV cameras proved there was a light touch - not one that needed a whistle.
Injured Gerard Pique went down to the pitch and confronted the Mansano Corps and also coach Ronald Koeman looked boiling.
"It disappoints me that the VAR team did not look into this move," Sergi Roberto said after the game, "the referee did not just whistle and that is his interpretation, but sometimes in VAR facilities. It surprises me that the whole story ends so quickly."
Coman said that despite the loss, he was pleased with the way his team played and added: "I think there was a clear penalty, but we did not hear from VAR. I do not know if there is a VAR or not in Spain. Everyone is sure there was a penalty, did you see that?"
Former Barcelona player Guillermo Amor, who now holds a professional-managerial role at the club, said: "I think at VAR they should at least have checked the events. One with Dembele and one with Braithwaite. I also think the referee should have added a few more minutes the time".

Beyond the nerves of Barcelona after the last whistle, one of the scenes to be remembered from this Clasico is that of Lionel Messi shivering in the rain and wind and asking for a new, dry shirt.
In Madrid, 11 degrees were measured during the game, but together with the heavy rain and wind, the weather conditions made it difficult for the players and the Argentine in particular and his video shook quickly and went viral.
Beyond the cold, it certainly wasn’t tonight’s No. 10 Blaugrana.
He finished the Clasico for the fifth time in a row in the league without conquering, wasting his halves of situations and according to "Cadena Coop", reprimanded Referee Corps Mansano for his conduct: "Speak to us nicely, respectfully."
