This is not how Atletico Madrid wanted to return to the top.
The leader, who lost the summit following Real Madrid's victory in the Clasico, tonight (Sunday) achieved only an unsatisfactory 1-1 draw against Betis, in the 30th round of the Spanish league.
Although the Colchoneros have regained first place, the problem is that they are only a single point ahead of Real Madrid's Blancos.
The game started in a particularly high gear and already after five minutes, Yannick Crasco managed to roll in the 0: 1 of Atletico Madrid.
Five minutes later, he promised to get back on track thanks to an impressive equalizer from Christian Teo, who set up a 1-1 draw against the leader.
Earlier, Valladolid recorded another loss, this time 1: 2 against Granada.
Sean Weissman, who missed the game against Barcelona, came on as a substitute in the 85th minute, but failed to save.
Fabian Oriana put the hosts ahead with a penalty in the 41st minute, but Grande managed to turn it around thanks to goals from Jorge Molina (78) and Hocaine Marin (86).
