Ahmed G., 48 years old, is accused of "rape and sexual assault by person in authority and on minors of 15 years, attempted rape, sexual proposals by electronic means and bribery of minors" on eight young players, who had less. 15 years old for the most part and that he trained in clubs in the Paris region, said lawyers and a source close to the case.
Ahmed G. is sent back to the Paris Assizes for rape or sexual assault on eight adolescents from 2003 to 2018.
The facts came to light in October 2015, when the mother of a 13-year-old teenager showed up at a suburban Paris police station after discovering numerous sexual messages on her son's cell phone from his trainer. .
Indicted and placed under judicial supervision in February 2016 with a ban on seeing minors, Ahmed G. was imprisoned a month later for having contacted minors and provided training, despite the bans.
He trained young people in the Paris region
After a year spent in detention, he is placed under judicial supervision with again the ban on frequenting football fields and minors.
But he was reincarcerated in February 2019: he was training young people in a club in the Paris region.
Investigators then realize that in the meantime, he has raped another boy.
The investigation made it possible to identify several victims of African origin and from a modest background.
"He contests all rapes, he recognizes on the other hand certain sexual assaults and contests others", explains his lawyer, Peggy Salomé, specifying that he had "a real feeling of guilt".
Ahmed G. used a “recurring modus operandi” presenting himself as a recruiter for training centers, offering young people gifts, advising them, accompanying them after training.
He won the trust of parents and became "a referent", describes the magistrate.
Once the close relationship was established, he made his first touches - caresses and kisses - then blowjobs and penetrations if the teenager did not resist.
If the minor objected, he claimed that his gestures were signs of affection or massages.
"Clever and manipulative" according to the prosecution, he asked his victims to erase the exchanges on their phones and to silence the sexual relations.
Ahmed G., married and childless, "was very close to his players".
“He urged young people to come to his home after matches to play on the console or watch TV.
The minors stayed very late at night, ”says a member of his entourage.
As soon as he was suspected of deviant behavior in a club, the man moved to another location, taking his players with him.
"It shows the hold he had over them," sighs the accusation.

In 2012, Ahmed G. was reported to justice by a club, but the investigation was closed.
“We cannot accept that predators use sport to access their young victims.
If we do not prevent these behaviors, we lose the confidence of parents and licensees, ”says Benjamin Peyrelevade, lawyer for the French Football Federation, who was unaware of the suspicions and has since become a civil party.
The investigation came up against the difficult identification of other victims and the silence of the adolescents.
“In our opinion, the victims are many more numerous.
We have seen a free speech, but it is a still fragile process, ”says Agathe Blanc, who defends the interests of four of them.
"It is an extremely heavy file, it acted over a very long period: it is a real predator", observes a close source.
