The French National Olympic Sports Committee celebrated this Wednesday the 100 days before the opening of the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of Education and Sports, announced that the bonuses of the French athletes who will climb on the podiums will be revised upwards compared to four years ago in Rio because they will now be subject to income tax.
Speaking from “his lair in rue Grenelle”, because it is Covid contact case, the member of the government announced that an Olympic champion would receive 65,000 euros for gold (instead of 50,000 in Brazil, 25,000 for silver (instead of 20,000) and finally 15,000 for bronze (instead of 13,000).

At the Rio Olympics, the Blues won 42 medals (10 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze) to which were added a few days later 28 other charms (9 gold, 5 silver and 14 bronze) of their compatriots at the Paralympic Games.
A great collective harvest which, if it were repeated this year, would allow the athletes to be rewarded to the tune of 2.23 million euros in total.
