TSV Gilching-Argelsried got its young members up to speed with a scavenger hunt.

The Easter rally was a complete success - and should only be the beginning.

Gilching - TSV Gilching-Argelsried has many departments, more precisely 17 in number.

They almost never performed together in recent years.

Whether handball players, athletes or mountain bikers - each division has its own life.

It was all the more surprising that Amelie Siegel managed to get the entire club up and running right away.

The club's sports officer sent 150 children between the ages of two and 14, some together with their parents, through the woods at the TSV Easter rally.

"As long as I've been with the club, it was the first time that we ever did something together," says Siegel, who is happy that she was able to provide something new.

Gilching Easter rally: 14 stations with sporting tasks

The scavenger hunt started at the parking lot at the tennis court.

At 14 different stations, the children had to cope with different sporting tasks in order to be rewarded for their efforts from the Easter Bunny's treasure chest.

Against the background of the contact restrictions during Corona times, everything went correctly on the three and a half kilometers, Siegel clarifies: "It relaxed well on the route." Since every child had to register beforehand, the organizers were able to create an exact schedule.

Members of TSV Gilching-Argelsried stick to the rules

The young people from Gilching also presented themselves as fair sports people in other ways.

The individual stamp slips were meticulously kept and the stamps were then returned to their original location.

It was just as natural that everyone from the treasure chest only rewarded himself with the three previously awarded Easter eggs and was not hoarded.

"Everyone was thrilled," Siegel sums up.

The response was great.

TSV Gilching Easter rally: thirst for action after five months of lockdown

This may also have been due to the fact that Gilching's young athletes, after more than five months of strict lockdown, were thirsty for action to exercise in the great outdoors.

"Everyone has been waiting for something to be done," says Siegel, speaking of the great openness in all departments that willingly jumped on the bandwagon.

The action was most popular with the TSV's children's sport.

Veronika Lillmann, who was responsible for the rally together with Siegel, mobilized 40 participants alone.

Rally organizer Amelie Siegel: "Definitely want to continue"

Siegel expects that further actions will follow the pilot project in the future: "I am sure that we definitely want to continue."

“The only question is, what can you also realize,” says Siegel.

However, it should not fail due to the common will of all departments.
