The third and final day of the European Judo Championships, held in Lisbon, Portugal, kicked off this morning (Sunday) with the participation of Peter Plachik (up to 100 kg), Uri Sasson (over 100 kg) and Inbar Lanir (78 kg) ).
At the beginning of the day, after the Israeli team had already lived up to expectations with three medals (Tohar Botbol Silver, Sagi Muki Arad, and Geffen Primo Arad), it is no secret that the expectation was for a gold medal before closing the lights and talking about the Hungarian World Championships.
Peter Placic defeated Serbian Bojan Duchamp in the first round, but lost in the quarterfinals in the iPhone to Frenchman Cyril Marra and parted ways with the prestigious European champion he held.
The bronze medalist Mario, Sasson, automatically advanced to the second round, defeated the Slovenian Anz Marinic within six seconds and advanced to the quarterfinals, where he will face a very tough opponent - Goram Toshishvili.
But here Sasson ran out of power, he surrendered to him - and tried to win a medal through the House of Consolation.
Sasson defeated an Austrian opponent and went up for the bronze medal, in which he lost on the iPhone in the gold score and finished the competition without a medal.
Lee Kochman (up to 90 kg), who is celebrating his 26th birthday today, opened against the Hungarian youth runner-up Roland Goz - and defeated him on the iPhone with 50 seconds left in the fight. Kochman later lost to Georgi Lasha Bakuri and was eliminated from the competition.
In the women's event, Inbar Lanir (up to 78 kg), who is in excellent shape, started against Poland's Bita Pakut (8 in the championship and 18 in the world) in the second round, lost to her and packed her bags.
