Super League: 66% of Europeans in favor? Why is it not so simple

The result is clear: 66% of football fans are in favor of the project.

The Latins are the hottest, with 76% of the Spaniards behind this closed league, 72% of the Italians and 71% of the French.

In Germany, we push to 57% for the competition and 59% in England.

4,063 football lovers, aged at least 15, were interviewed in Spain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and England via the Internet, between February 10 and 15.

Note that in France, only political polls are controlled by an ad hoc committee, not other questions.

In detail, the youngest (15-24 years) in Europe are the most fervent supporters (73%), unlike those over 65 (50%).

PSG supporters are, after those of Manchester City (87%) and Real Madrid (86%), the most fierce supporters of this initiative, with 84% of favorable opinion, ahead of lovers of AC Milan, FC Barcelona or even Juventus Turin. However, the Parisian Ultras, the most audible certainly, largely relayed their refusal. They are 84% for, but it looks like we only hear the 16% against.

On the side of the Super League, it is explained that this study facilitated decision-making.

The verdict, however, questions.

Although indisputable, would this survey include some subtleties that would allow you to twist your arm in reality?

In November 2018, an Odoxa survey showed that only 42% of football fans advocated the idea of ​​a closed private competition of this type.
