Washington stars respond to Danny Abdia's injury (Hizards' Twitter account)

Washington reporters are convinced: Danny Abdia's season-ending injury will not stop his progress and development in the NBA. In the Locked On Wizards podcast, Ben Mahich and Anthony Citadino discussed the group's consequences of the Israeli rookie's injury, and agreed that there was reason to remain optimistic - especially if the initial diagnosis was correct, and Abdia was suffering from a stress crisis that would not require surgery.
"All the energy was pumped out of the hall when he was injured. He started the game really well, and after he was injured that game felt almost dead for Washington," Ben Mahitch said. "At first glance, this seemed like the worst kind of injury there is but in the bottom line, but we are not talking here about a particularly serious injury. If there is no rupture, the Wizards can rehabilitate him. Danny will be able to return to the pitches and be fine. It is clearly not good to end the season with such an injury. "But it's not a life-threatening injury."
Mahitch understands that the timing of the injury is also problematic. "Given Washington's situation, it's even harder because they might reach the playoffs, and Danny will miss games that could have been very important to his career. The Rockies come to the league to play in the playoffs, and he will miss it. Danny is one of the hardest working Rockies, and I'm sure he is.
