Super League soap opera, continued. Of the 12 founding members of the defunct competition, eight have already given up, the six English clubs (Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham) on Tuesday, then Atlético Madrid and Inter Milan. Four teams have not officially registered their withdrawal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan. And they could "suffer certain consequences", as Aleksander Ceferin told the
AP
agency.
.
“It is clear that the clubs will have to decide if they are in the Super League or if they are European clubs.
If they say 'we're a Super League' then they don't play in the Champions League, of course.
And if they are ready to do so, they can play in their own competition, ”says the UEFA boss.
Clearly, the Slovenian leader threatens the four clubs in question with exclusion for next season.
Real, City, Chelsea (C1), MU and Arsenal (C3) are not, however, under the threat of exclusion with regard to the end of the current financial year, as several sources have indicated, including Fabrizio Romano.
