Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo assured Saturday that he did not fear sanctions against the Turin club after his participation in the aborted Super League project, of which its president Andrea Agnelli was one of the main initiators.
"We are not afraid of this, we are calm and focused on our work," said the former midfielder on the eve of the Bianconeri's trip to Fiorentina for the 33rd day of the championship.
"We are convinced that we can achieve our goals for the season, we are confident about the decisions of UEFA", the organizing body of the Champions League.

- Does UEFA have the right to require European clubs to participate only in its competitions?
Announced at the beginning of the week, the Super League project, a private and almost closed competition imagined by twelve heavyweights of European football to supplant the C1, generated many and sharp criticisms. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin threatened to exclude the clubs involved in the project (6 English, 3 Spanish and 3 Italian) from several major competitions. Quickly suspended following a public outcry, the Super League was defended against all odds by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and his Juve counterpart Andrea Agnelli.
"It's normal that we talk about him a lot at the moment" but "I found him calm," Pirlo said of his president.
"Our goal remains to qualify for the Champions League, that's what occupies our whole mind," assured the former Italian international.
Nineteen reigning Italian champions, Juventus are currently fourth and last qualified for the C1, six days before the end of the championship.
