An impressive achievement today (Sunday) at the European Gymnastics Championships in Basel.
Israeli gymnast Andrei Medvedev won the silver medal at the jumping table and restored his personal achievement from 2019.
Medvedev received for the two jumps the weighted score of 14.658 points (first jump 14.633 second jump 14.683) which, as stated, gave him the second place and the silver medal.
In doing so, Medvedev will repeat the achievement from 2019, when he also won a silver medal in the jumps at the continental championships.
Medvedev, who immigrated to Israel at the age of 12, began his career at the "Maccabi North" club in Kibbutz Maayan Zvi and in 2012 moved to train with Maccabi Tel Aviv. A year later he participated in the World Championships, which he finished 24th in the jumping exercise. The jumps, at the Ljubljana World Cup.In 2015 he finished in 15th place at the World Championships.

Since then, he has managed to take three medals at Maccabiah 2017 and last year, as mentioned, marked his record achievement, a silver medal at the European Championships in Szczecin.
Medvedev, who has yet to meet the criteria for the Olympics, looks very sharp, hoping he will secure a ticket to the Olympics soon and continue to jump all the way to an Olympic medal.
