Milan has opened the current season in an amazing way and over a number of months even manned the top spot in the Serie A table.
Now, just before the wonderful season in boot country ends and after being part of the Super League storm, the Rossoneri find themselves out of the place leading up to the Champions League next season.
Stefano Fioli's side went out tonight (Monday) for a not-so-simple away game against Lazio who also still dream of finishing in the first four and lost 3-0 with a pair of Joaquin Correa (2, 51) and another goal from Chiro Immobilia (87), who brought it down To 5th place in the table.
The one who took advantage of Milan's loss is Napoli, who also played tonight and managed to beat Torino 0: 2 with goals from Timoa in Kayoko (11) and Victor Osiman (13).
With the victory Napoli equalized their number of points to that of Juventus and AC Milan (66) and overtook them thanks to a superior goal ratio.
As happened last season, this year too we will seem to get a fight for the right to play in the Champions League until the final round.
