A packed night in the NBA: An 11-game round took place tonight (Monday through Tuesday), and included some surprises and interruptions from the two longest active streak wins in the league - the Knicks (after nine wins) and the Wizards (after eight). Utah was surprised by Minnesota, the Clippers were defeated in New Orleans, the Lakers recovered from a streak of losses, and Philadelphia defeated Oklahoma City.

Wizards got Roy Hachimura back and hoped for a ninth straight win that would have equaled the club's all-time record, but got into a tense and close duel against an opponent Stubborn who won after a drama that included 31 advantage exchanges and 20 times a tie. Damar Druzen, who excelled with 37 points and 10 assists, missed an attempt to win the game in legal time, but made sure the Spurs held out in overtime and recorded a seventh win in the last ten games and moved up to eighth place in the West. Jonata Marie added 25, 17 rebounds and five assists for the Spurs, while the Wizards enjoyed 45 points from Bradley Bill (sixth time this season with 40 points or more) returning to top of the basket king table over Steph Kerry, and another Russell Westbrook triple double with 22 points, 14 assists and 13 rebounds, which were not enough.
New York (28:34) - Phoenix (18:43) 118: 110
After two consecutive losses, the Suns had no intention of surrendering once again in the game tour to the East - not even against the hot team in the league at the moment. Devin Booker came in sharp and sniped 33 points, Michelle Bridges added 21, but the winner of the win was Chris Paul who scored Phoenix's last seven points including a crazy three that closed out an interest, finishing with 20 overall. The Knicks came to a halt after nine straight wins, with Julius Randall settling for 18 points on 6 of 17 from the field, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, and failing to arrange for the Knicks another home win despite a nice contribution from Derek Rose from the bench with 22 points, 6 Rebounds and 6 assists.
Orlando (43:18) - LA Lakers (25:36) 114: 103
After three straight losses and a host of alarming offensive displays, the Lakers have recovered in the city where they won the championship eight months ago.
Anthony Davis still looked restrained and a little rusty when he finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds, but the engine behind the win was Dennis Schroeder who scored 13 of his 21 points in the final quarter, ensuring a very weak second quarter that ended in a 40:22 to Magic.
Chuma Okka was the standout slinger in the Magic ranks with 18.

Minnesota (44:17) - Utah (16:44) 104: 105
Who would have believed that Minnesota would be the only team to record a seasonal sweep of the dominant team in the league. DiAngelo Russell set a season-high 7 three-pointers, finished with 27 points and was also signed on the winning basket 5 seconds to go for an assist from Ricky Rubio, who completed a very surprising 0: 3 for the Timberwolves over the Jazz this season. Carl Anthony Towns added 21 and 11 rebounds for the Wolves, who have recorded a fourth win in the last six games, while Mike Conley finished with 26 for Utah, but lost the final ball. Suddenly, the first place in the West also seems in danger - with Phoenix only a game and a half away.
New Orleans (34:27) - LA Clippers (20:43) 103: 120
The Clippers came into the game with a balance of 11 wins in the last 12 games, but this time looked much less uniform, falling into a double-digit deficit already in the first quarter and not really managing to get close throughout the second half. Zion Williamson excelled with 23 points including a series of typical spectacular moves, Lonzo Ball had 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, while Paul George was stopped on just 9 points (3 of 11) which was also a double-double of the freshman until End-of-season Demarcus Cousins with 16 points and 11 rebounds, failed to forget.
Miami (30:32) - Chicago (35:26) 110: 102
The Bulls do not give up in the battle with Washington for the tenth place leading to the playoff tournament.
Nikola Wojciech scored 24, Daniel Theis added 23, Kobe White added 17 and Chicago completed the surprise when they finished the game with a 20:36 run and completely controlled under the baskets with 34:51 on rebounds.
Miami, for its part, missed an opportunity to move up to sixth place in the East despite 33 points from Jimmy Butler and 23 from Bam Adbaio.
One scored in Money Time, the other lost.

Philadelphia (21:40) - Oklahoma City (41:20) 90: 121
No Forces: The Easterners enjoyed another effective game by Joel Ambide with 21 points, got back Ben Simmons who recovered from the injury and scored 12, and handed Thunder a loss 14 in a row that compares to the club's all-time negative record. The game was one-sided from start to finish, with Ty Jerome's 22 points also preventing OKC from further defeat.
Toronto (35:26) - Cleveland (40:21) 96: 112
The Raptors are also not giving up in the triple battle for 10th place in the East, and have already counted five wins in the last six games. Pascal Siakam with 25, or G Anonobi with 20 and Malachi Flynn with 18, led Nick Ners' team to victory after a dominant second half, the Cubs took comfort in the sparks displayed by rookie Isaac Okuro who finished with 20 points.
Detroit (43:19) - Atlanta (28:34) 86: 100
The Hawks got Chris Dunn who appeared for the first time this season after recovering from an injury, but suffered an unexpected loss after two straight wins.
Jeremy Grant and Frank Jackson scored 18 each for the winner, and the Hawks who appeared on a missing roster without Trey Young, Lou Williams, Tony Snell, Diandra Hunter and Kam Radish recorded their weakest offensive display this season, despite Bogdan Bogdanovich's 17 points.
