Sensational Meiser in summer 2020, now shortly before relegation to the regional league.

In the second third division season it does not work for FC Bayern II.

An analysis.

Munich - As the reigning third division champions, the Bayern amateurs are stumbling towards relegation and thus towards amateur football in the regional league.

On Monday evening it set the highest defeat of the season with a 4-0 defeat against Saarbrücken.

The new head coach duo Danny Schwarz and Martin Demichelis seemed at a loss after the game - and chose drastic words.

“The only thing that matters to me is what we put on the pitch.

We didn't take place at all in the first half.

It was similar to the one against Zwickau, and we didn't find our way into the game.

With the first action from Saarbrücken, the 1-0 falls.

We played youth football against men's football.

We were second winners in every duel, ”complained Schwarz after the bankruptcy of Magenta Sport.

The Munich Reserve is currently on a direct relegation zone with two points behind the saving bank.

But how was the high-flyer team able to dismantle last season?

FC Bayern II: Coach change from Sebastian Hoeneß to Seitz to Martin Demichelis and Danny Schwarz

Shortly before the start of the season, on August 18th, it became known that the successful amateur trainer Sebastian Hoeneß had moved to TSG Hoffenheim * as head coach.

The new season started just a month later.

So the campus managers didn't really have much time to look around for a new trainer.

Campus Vice President Holger Seitz stepped in and from then on held a dual role.

The team couldn't really internalize Seitz's style of play because of the packed Corona game schedule.

For the trainer, the burden was enormous because of his dual activity.

Recently, Schwarz and Demichelis took over for Seitz, and the players had to get used to new coaches again.

That doesn't work so far.

FC Bayern II: The departures after the championship season weigh heavily

The "Bayern amateurs" had to accept the departure of numerous top performers in the summer. Above all, the farewell to goal scorer "Otschie" Wriedt (26), who moved to Willem II in the Dutch Eredevisie, was painful. After all, the attacker had scored 24 hits in the preseason. In addition to Wriedt, top performer Derrick Köhn (22) also joined the Dutch. The left-back had made an impressive eight assists as a defensive player. Mert Yilmaz (21) moved to Alanyaspor in Turkey.

In addition, many players, who always commuted between the roster of professionals * and amateurs, went into loan deals over the course of the season.

Like Lars Lukas Mai (Darmstadt), Michael Cuisance (Marseille), Joshua Zirkzee * (Parma), Oliver Batista Meier (Heerenveen), or Sarpreet Singh, who has meanwhile returned prematurely from Nuremberg.

Even if it wasn't enough for them with the professionals, they were absolute top performers in the third division.

Corona situation: FC Bayern II was able to train again early in the championship season

Last year's outstanding second half also had to do with the Corona interruption.

While most of the other third division clubs still had to take a break, the amateurs of FC Bayern * were able to resume training early because of their unique infrastructure on campus.
