Former German international Christoph Metzelder was sentenced Thursday in Düsseldorf to ten months in prison for the dissemination of child pornography, which he confessed. 40-year-old Metzelder had Thursday from the first day of his trial , admitted to having sent in 2019 pornographic files concerning girls and young girls via WhatsApp messaging to several women, including an ex-companion, who had denounced him.
The trial was initially scheduled to last until early May but this confession paved the way for this 10-month suspended prison sentence.
Some 297 files with sexual content featuring children or adolescents were found on his mobile phone during the investigation.
