On the grass Cristiano Ronaldo has recently had an unconvincing and simple period in the Juventus uniform, and it seems that the Portuguese star is having a hard time concentrating only on football.

This morning (Thursday) confirmation came to the publications after the kingdom reported that the rape case in which the Portuguese star had been accused in the past, still haunts him.

The Juventus star has been accused of sexually assaulting Catherine Myorga at a Las Vegas hotel in 2009. Majorga, through attorney Leslie Stobol, the complainant claimed that as part of the METOO campaign she made the decision to contact the Las Vegas police and demand the reopening of the investigation, after it was closed in 2019, following a silence fee she received from Ronaldo. In addition, two years ago it was announced that the undisputed star of Juventus will not be prosecuted for this rape charge after the complaint against him was dropped, apparently following a plea deal with the Portuguese's representatives.

This morning there was another turning point in the affair when it was reported that in a civil lawsuit Miorga is claiming £ 56 million for irreversible mental damage caused to her following that attack. It should be noted that the respectable amount Ronaldo actually earns in two years of football consists of two main sections of "future suffering" ( £ 18 million) and for libel against the complainant (another 18 million).

In addition, the complainant is claiming around £ 1.5 million in legal expenses incurred as a result of the ongoing proceedings.

As I recall after the initial publication, Ronaldo denied all the accusations, declaring: "I strongly deny the accusations leveled against me. Rape is a heinous crime that goes against everything I believe in. With all the desire to clear my name as quickly as possible, I will not feed the media speculation created about "By people who want to promote themselves at my expense. My clear conscience will allow me to wait peacefully until the results of the investigation."
