The members approve a 50,000 euro budget at the annual general meeting.

Other projects could include an artificial turf pitch and the expansion of the leisure home.

Isen - The TSV Isen cash register is well filled. According to treasurer Olaf Textor, the solidly operating club had around 342,000 euros in its account as of December 31, 2020. "Non-profit associations should not build up assets," he said, but immediately added: "What we are planning also requires capital." That is why the TSV has built up reserves. Because the 1500 member strong and active club has big plans. The TSV wants to start with a beach volleyball facility.

The chairman Lutz Seeger, who was re-elected without a dissenting vote (report to follow), divided the wishes of the TSV into dreams and concrete plans at the annual general meeting, which was held via the Zook conference. He considers the construction of a new sports ground or another football field to be "unrealistic in the near future". But he could very well imagine laying artificial turf on an existing pitch or on a pointed meadow. "This would allow us to increase the number of training hours and thus also the capacities," explained Seeger. In addition, the leisure home is to be expanded to relieve the school gymnasium - in favor of the badminton, table tennis and volleyball departments. Seeger was determined to tackle these projects. On Friday evening, Mayor Ingrid Hibler promised him the goodwill of the community.

But now it's the turn of the "beach volleyball double court". It should be built west of the Isen and be accessible from the sports grounds via a bridge. The landowner would provide the land, Seeger reported. The talks with the mayor have taken place, the first applications are already with the responsible authorities, because the ideas of the association are already well developed. Conveniently, one of the volleyball players in the club is also an architect who has already made specific drawings. “A system like this needs a decent foundation and a fence so that it doesn't turn into a litter box,” explained Seeger. The gate will always be open so that the general public can play there in addition to the TSV members. For the recreational players one of the two places would be free, while the other guarantees training for the TSV volleyball players. Detailed questions about the water connection and possible tool shed. would be clarified.

At the annual general meeting, the board asked the members to grant a budget of 50,000 euros and 15 percent leeway.

In addition, there would be the state subsidies coordinated by the BLSV and possibly financial support from the municipality.

The approximately 50 members present voted in favor of the motion, with one dissenting vote and a few abstentions.

However, some members of the football department pointed out that they too had urgent need for action.

"You are welcome to drop by on Monday evening," said Manfred Grosse of training with 60 people on two and a half seats.

Seeger showed understanding for the situation of the footballers, but one also has to keep an eye on the overall offer of the club.

“We have well over 100 volleyball players and seven teams in play.

The artificial turf is a solution for football, but you also have to see the budget.

“At 50,000 euros, the beach facility is about the size of a new car, with artificial turf between 300,000 and 600,000 euros.

It's a home. ”Pir
