Villarreal, Spain, took advantage of the ground factor to win a difficult 2-1 victory over Arsenal today in the first leg of the European Football League semi-final.
Villarreal scored both Mano Triggeros in the 5th minute and Raul Albiol 29th, while Nicolas Pepe scored Arsenal's only goal in the 73rd minute, with a penalty kick.
And the decision was postponed to the return leg next Thursday in London.
