Three months and it's over.
On February 3, Nicolas Anelka surprised a large part of the football world by becoming the sports director of a fourth division club, Hyères (National 2).
This Tuesday, the former PSG, Arsenal or Real Madrid striker announced that he was leaving the Var club.
He does not slam the door and does not leave angry with Mourad Boudjellal, the club boss and former president of the Toulon rugby club.
Anelka had come both seduced by Boudjellal's personality and also by the possibility of making a club climb the hierarchy by relying on his ideas and his network.
But he preferred to throw in the towel because of the health crisis.
The N2 championship was definitively interrupted on April 23 and Hyères had not played any matches since October.
Under these conditions, Anelka felt it was impossible for her to work on a team that cannot play matches.

After three months at the club the observation is obvious! , he wrote in a press release sent to the Footmercato site. The sports project is no longer the same! Amateur football is at a standstill and the restrictions are even more severe.
