Jens Lehmann sends a racist message to Sky expert Dennis Aogo

The former national goalkeeper Jens Lehmann racially insulted Dennis Aogo in a chat. The message probably ended up inadvertently with the ex-national player. Lehmann later apologized.

The former national football goalkeeper Jens Lehmann racially insulted Dennis Aogo in a chat message.

Aogo shared a corresponding Whatsapp chat on Instagram on Wednesday night.

In the last message of the process, Lehmann writes: »Is Dennis actually your quota black?« Aogo commented on his post with the message »WOW are you serious?

The sender of the message can be identified as Jens Lehmann.

Lehmann, who is today a member of the supervisory board of Bundesliga club Hertha BSC, responded on Twitter in the morning.

“A private message from my cell phone to Dennis Aogo created an impression for which I apologized in conversation with Dennis.

As a former national player, he is very knowledgeable and has a great presence and brings a rate to Sky.

Aogo has been working as an expert for the pay-TV broadcaster "Sky" since he retired.

As an active player, he played for Hamburger SV, Schalke 04 and VfB Stuttgart, among others.

He played twelve games for the German national team between 2010 and 2013.

He ended his active career in the summer of 2020.

Lehmann had recently attracted negative attention with problematic statements and the trivialization of diseases related to the coronavirus.
