The state government has promised opening steps for the sport from May 10th. From when they will apply to the Freising district, however, is open.

The state government has promised opening steps for the sport from May 10th.

From when they will apply to the Freising district, however, is open.

For the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) it is “a small ray of hope, but not a big hit”.

In its cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the Bavarian state government announced the next steps in opening up many areas from schools, theaters and cinemas to restaurants.

The new version of the Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, which will apply from Monday, May 10, also provides for some relaxation for amateur and amateur sports.

From when they will apply to the Freising district, however, is open.

“Despite the clear statements made by all the experts that sport in the open air does not represent an increased risk of infection, the hurdles for Bavarian amateur footballers remain very high.

The implementation is associated with considerable effort ”, says BFV treasurer Jürgen Foldbacher.

New rules for incidence below 100

According to this, team training outdoors with physical contact and without group restrictions will be possible again from May 10 in rural districts and urban districts with a stable 7-day incidence below 100, provided that all participants have been vaccinated twice or have recovered or have a daily negative PCR test, POC -Antigen test or self-test, the association informs. If the incidence value is stable below 50, team training with contact is also allowed without vaccination or a negative test.

The prerequisite, however, is a case-by-case decision on site: approval by the responsible district administrative authority, which also defines the necessary protective and hygiene measures, is a basic requirement for the implementation of the easing, the BFV explains.

It was also announced that the State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration, will soon be submitting a new general hygiene concept for the sport sector.

“Unfortunately, the openings promised are once again associated with very high hurdles for the clubs.

I am thinking in particular of the obligation to test, ”emphasizes schwarzenbacher.

This currently applies in the Freising district

The fact is: The district of Freising is still a long way from the ominous 100 mark.

On Wednesday, the incidence was 143.9 - and that still means: Only non-contact outdoor sports with members of your own household and a person outside the household are permitted (not including children under 14).

Team sports are prohibited.

In addition, contactless outdoor sports are possible for kids under the age of 14 in groups of five.

Trainers must have a negative test no more than 24 hours old.

The children do not have to be tested.
