There were hardly any tournaments in the region.

This year, too, there are impairments - but at least the prospect of a few events.

District - The coronavirus has given the equestrians quite a problem.

There were almost no tournaments in the region in 2020.

An exception was a three-day event at the RFV Ammersee in Dießen, which was aimed primarily at young riders.

There were 60 percent fewer tournaments across Bavaria.

While there were 371 equestrian events in the Free State in 2019 according to the specialist magazine "Bayerns Pferde", in 2020 there were only 148. The number of tests fell from 7,024 to 2,611.

One thing is certain: Corona will also affect events this season - some plans have already been thrown overboard.

After all: for the summer there are various events in the vicinity in the tournament list of the Bavarian Riding and Driving Association.

Corona has led to a decline in tournaments

The

LRFV Burggen

belonged in the past year to clubs that have been completely thwarted by Corona. Both the 50th anniversary tournament (planned for the end of July) and Rosstag (planned for September) had to be canceled in 2020. Both events are to take place this year. The horse show is planned from July 2nd to 4th and includes dressage tests up to class M * and jumping competitions up to class A **. Of course, like all other organizers, the people of Burggen hope that spectators will again be admitted. Because in the previous year it was already the case: "If nobody is allowed to come, it is also of no interest to sponsors," said Diana Rauch from LRFV. Not least for economic reasons, many clubs canceled in 2020. Rosstag is expected to take place on September 12th.

“To a new one” is also the

motto at the Gut Kerschlach riding club

. After a one-year break, the jumping competition including cross-country tests (July 16 to 18) and the dressage competition (July 23 to 25) will take place on the course near Pähl. Since 2001 there have been regular competitions up to and including S ** class at Gut Kerschlach. Since the number of participants increased from year to year, the disciplines "jumping" and "dressage" have been held on two different weekends since 2007. Since 2018 there has also been an off-road course at Gut Kerschlach.

More than just jumping and dressage is offered at Gut Schörghof.

The

RFV Weilheimer Pferdefreunde

tournament

, which is planned for June 25-27, also includes four-way competitions.

The participants not only have to prove themselves in the saddle (jumping and dressage / classes E to L), but also show their skills in running and swimming.

In the past few years, the event was primarily geared towards the next generation.

Four-way fight planned at Gut Schörghof near Weilheim

The

RFV Ammersee-Dießen

resides not far behind the district

boundary

.

In August (13th to 15th), exams in dressage (up to class M *), jumping (E to A **) and eventing (E) are scheduled on the Propst-Herkulan-Karg-Straße.

Further south, at

RV Ohlstadt

, jumping competitions up to M ** (May 22 to 24) and dressage competitions up to L (June 4 to 6) are on the program.

The

RC Landsberg has

entered

two dates

: Dressage (up to class M *) and jumping (up to class A **) on May 13th and from September 10th to 12th.

The club has its premises on the Lech (Pössinger Au).

The jumping and dressage tests of the

RFV Fuchstal

extend up to class M *

on its facility (July 17th / 18th).

The

RZV Lechtal

had to cancel some tournaments in spring this year, among other things because of the herpes virus and corona. A jumping tournament up to S ** class is also on the calendar, which is to take place from September 17th to 19th in Honsolgen (between Landsberg and Buchloe). The tournament to which

RV Unterbeuern

invites for July 31st and August 1st

is primarily for the "bush riders"

. On the area around the hamlet near Dießen, in addition to jumping and dressage (up to class A **), versatility tests for classes E to L are scheduled. The cross routes are considered demanding; Until a few years ago there were even international events taking place in Unterbeuern.

The

main and state stud in Schwaiganger has

regularly hosted major tournaments in recent years

. There are ten such facilities for horse breeding across Germany, the best known is in Warendorf. This year, however, there will be no tournament in Schwaiganger - the planned competitions have been canceled. The

Weilheim-Lichtenau riding club

, which is traditionally devoted to dressage, also had to change its plans. On two weekends in August, exams up to the S-class were planned; they were canceled.
