The league team EC Peiting is working hard on the squad for the coming season.

Another position in the attack has now been clarified.

It concerns Nardo Nagtzaam.

Peiting - With the new trainer, there will also be a change at EC Peiting in the coming season as far as the two contingent positions are concerned.

Under coach Anton Saal, the league team says goodbye to the system that has been practiced for years of assigning a foreign position in defense and in attack.

Instead, two attackers should now provide more penetration in the storm (we reported).

The ECP has already occupied one position with a new addition, the Finn Eetu-Ville Arkiomaa from league competitor SC Riessersee.

It is now also clear that there will be no change in filling the second foreigner position.

Nardo Nagtzaam has extended his contract.

"We are happy that he is staying with us", reported Peiting's team manager Gordon Borberg after he had made everything clear for a third season in the ECP jersey with the Dutchman, who will be celebrating his 31st birthday next Sunday.

“Nardo is a bit of a wanderer, but he likes it with us,” says Borberg.

Coach Saal was also very satisfied with the signature of the tech-savvy, fast striker: "Nardo is one of the strongest foreigners in the league, who is extremely important for our team, and not just on the ice."

ECP-Trainer Saal thinks highly of Nagtzaam

It is not surprising that the ECP coach holds great store by the Dutchman: Nagtzaam has scored 41 goals in 67 games for Peiting and made 77 assists.

"He also fulfills his defensive duties and does not look so much at his own points," said Saal, who particularly emphasizes the Dutchman's team-friendly style of play and his role model function in the dressing room.

“He's an athlete through and through,” is the verdict of team manager Borberg about Nagtzaam, who spends the summer in his home country.

"He will then join the team in August, absolutely fit," reports coach Anton Saal.

As things stand, he will have the Dutchman play in a row with Arkiomaa. "Then we will probably have one of the top attack rows in the league," said Borberg. "That will give us the killer instinct we need in front of the goal, which we may have missed from time to time last season." Meanwhile, the Peitinger are still in talks with the players of last year's squad. At the same time, however, they put out feelers for new players. “It's not that easy because all the clubs are currently looking,” reports Saal.
