In the NHL, Washington Capitals and New York Rangers players fought immediately after the game started.

The last duel between the two ice hockey teams was preceded by a dispute between Capitals professional Tom Wilson and Artemi Panarin from the Rangers, as a result of which the Russian was unable to continue playing and is no longer able to play this season.

When the League imposed a fine on Wilson, but not a suspension, the Rangers wrote a letter about the decision and demanded the removal of NHL disciplinary chief George Parros.

141 penalty minutes, two dismissed officials

In the 4-2 for the Capitals, the referees imposed a total of 141 penalty minutes, in the first four minutes alone there were six fights.

In the meantime, six players from the Capitals, who also seemed interested in this kind of conflict resolution, were in the penalty box at the same time.

“I think it was good.

We tried to stand up for our teammate.

It was a good reaction, "said Rangers defender Brendan Smith, according to the AP news agency.

It had already been a tumultuous day for the Rangers: in response to the NHL disciplinary chief's request for suspension, the franchise sacked club president John Davidson and general manager Jeff Gorton on Wednesday.
