Hugs and smiles were recorded last night (Thursday) among Manchester United players at the end of the rematch of the Europa League semi-final against Rome.
The Red Devils lost 3: 2 to Gallurosi but it did not change anything thanks to the huge 2: 6 victory from the first meeting at Old Trafford.
Veteran Edinson Cavani who scored a double in a game at Old Trafford added another double today and raised his tally to 16 goals in the last 15 games.
Now, the Red Devils are back in the Europa League final for the first time since the 2016/17 season, then also won the UEFA sub-factory after a 0-2 win over Ajax. For coach Ola Gunnar Solskjaer this is his first final as Manchester United coach, this after he was relegated Four times in the semi-finals in four different factories (twice in the League Cup, once in the English Cup and once again in the Europa League semi-finals, last season).

Former Manchester United midfielder and current commentator
Paul Scholes
said after the game: "There were five minutes during which Rome could really get back to business. It was a bit dangerous and I don't think Solskjaer is too pleased with the ability the players displayed in the second half. However, in the end, the task is complete ".
Coach
Ola Gunnar Solskjaer
said at the end: "It feels great. We played very well in the game at Old Trafford and there we actually did the job and secured the promotion to the final. I never like to lose, especially the way it happened, but it is known that the game today is going to be an open game. "With opportunities for both teams. It was a strange football game."
The Red Devils coach was pleased with his first promotion to the final as United coach: "It was his team's effort. We had ups and downs. The second half was disappointing, but at least we had to reach the final. We are looking forward to May 26. It will be one game where anything can happen. "And we will prepare well."
Captain
Harry McGuire
said at the end: "It's a great achievement. It's disappointing that we lost the rematch, but we did a great job in the first game and were in a great position. We started the game not so well. They put one-on-one pressure towards the end and that made the game "We moved from field to field. We allowed them too many opportunities in the second half. We have to improve it, but the achievement we made is great. Now we have to reach the final and get the title."
On Edinson Cavani: "His movement and form of work are just great. We know that's what he has and that's what he will give us. His second goal is a typical goal, he does things like that all his career. He is a player on for us."
