Villarreal broke the dominance of the English teams on the European stage this season to reach the European League final by tying with Arsenal in a negative way today in the second leg of the semi-final.
The first-leg match ended for Salah Villarreal 2-1 last week, as his coach Unai Emery took a personal revenge from his former club, who sacked him from his post after the end of the third of last season.
Arsenal wanted to play a pure English final against Manchester United, knowing that Manchester City and Chelsea had reached the Champions League final.
