Villarreal made history this Thursday by reaching their first European final. The yellow submarine has won Arsenal in the semi-finals of the Europa League and will face Manchester United on May 26 in Gdansk. The 2-1 of the first leg gives the pass to the Spanish team after drawing without goals at the Emirates. Fortune was on his side as Aubameyang sent two balls to the post. Emery will play his fifth final of the continental tournament and will seek his fourth trophy to increase his legend in this competition.
Villarreal came to Emirates aware that it was their rival who had the urgency to score and stood firm in defense, pulling on his own and hitting with a fast Chukwueze. The meeting was controlled by those of Emery, who could not reach clearly but kept Arsenal at bay. Aubameyang froze the blood of the Basque coach by shooting a loose ball in the area at the post. Chwukueze was immediately injured and his departure from the field slowed Villarreal in the last minutes of the first half, but the scoreboard did not move, with no clear opportunities for either team.
In the second half, Arsenal came out with more fangs, looking for that goal that would give them the pass, but Villarreal held on well collectively. The yellow block remained firm and could have sentenced the tie, but Gerard did not have his day against a very successful Leno. Aubameyang headed a cross to the post with ten minutes to go on the

the game. Villarreal ended up shrinking waters but managed to hold out until the end. Manchester United, who have already eliminated Real Sociedad and Granada, will be the last challenge in search of the first continental title in the club's history.
