French club Le Havre today mourned its former goalkeeper, Christophe Rivo, who took over the goalkeeper for a number of French clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, after he was found dead in his home.
In a statement, the club announced the death of its former goalkeeper at the age of 49.
Revo was born in the Paris region, and Le Havre discovered his talent early in a match for young people in 1998, so he moved to the training center of the French club dean before imposing himself in the first team in the domestic league and becoming a fan favorite.
In the summer of 1997 he joined Saint-Germain to succeed his goalkeeper Bernard Lama and starred with Rennes before spending 6 years with Toulouse, returning to Rennes as a reserve guard and in 2007 he returned to Le Havre.
Revo retired from football in 2010 at the age of 38 after a career in which he played around 450 matches.
