The Masters 1,000 tournament in Madrid continues today (Friday) with a kind of surprise: Rafael Nadal lost on clay in Madrid with a 6: 4, 6: 4 part against the German Sasha Zebrav, who qualified for the semi-finals.
It was Zebrav's third straight win over Nadal and he reached the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament for the second time.
The German trailed 4: 2 in the first set, but won four points en route to victory in the set.
In the second set, one break was enough for Zebrav to win a game that lasted a little less than two hours.

"It's without a doubt one of the biggest victories of my career so far," Zebrav said at the end.
Zebrav will meet Dominic Tim in the semifinals.
The Australian worked hard, but defeated American John Eisner 6: 3, 3: 6, 4: 6 in the second quarterfinals.
Tim lost the first set, but broke to 2: 4 in the second set and one break was enough for him in the decisive set as well and it is likely that the winner in the meeting between Tim and Zebrav will also win the tournament.
