Whose fault is it ?
This is the inevitable question with each elimination of PSG in the Champions League.
After the one suffered against Manchester City in the semi-finals, last Tuesday, the Odoxa-Winamax-RTL sports barometer questioned a representative panel of the population.
Several lessons emerge.
The elimination is considered logical by those polled because the PSG did not know how to raise its level of play (74%), Manchester City was a better team (73% and 84% of football fans) and it remains despite everything a good course for the club (51%), striker of Barcelona and Bayern Munich during its 2020-2021 campaign and which reached for the third time (after 1995 and 2020) the last four of the competition.
For football fans, the main weak point of the capital club lies in its collective qualities (42%) and mental qualities (33%) more than tactics (14%) or physical condition (10%).
A high perception of the problems of the collective which refers to the recurring concerns that the club encounters to constitute a homogeneous and united group from a workforce of stars with immense individual qualities (Neymar, Mbappé, Verratti, Icardi ...), sometimes tempted to do the difference on their talent.

In 2016, after the elimination against the Citizens in the quarter-finals, 71% of football fans estimated in a barometer for Le Parisien that the players were the main responsible for this exit from the road against 25% for the coach and 4% for managers, a sign that this perceived problem of player engagement is not new.
Despite its recognized status on the European scene, PSG must still convince of its ability to win the Champions League within 3 years: 57% of French people do not believe it, 53% of football fans consider it possible.
To achieve this, 74% of those polled interested in football would like PSG to do everything to extend Mbappé and 68% are in favor of keeping Pochettino as a coach.
But 56% did not want Neymar's contract to be extended ...
Survey carried out on May 5 and 6, 2021 on a representative sample of 1,005 people aged 18 and over, including 400 football fans.
