Borussia Dortmund won the dress rehearsal for the cup final on Thursday evening.

In the Bundesliga there was a 3-2 (1-0) victory against the table runner-up and upcoming final opponent RB Leipzig.

The Dortmund based on their rising form of the past weeks.

Marco Reus in particular presented himself more joyful than often this season, the Dortmund captain closed after he had passed Thorgan Hazard to give BVB an early lead (7th minute).

Hwang Hee-chan had previously had the chance for the Leipzig leadership, but failed from close range to goalkeeper Marwin Hitz (4th).

In the second half, Hitz was substituted, when Roman Bürki moved between the Dortmund posts.

But it was dangerous at first in front of the Leipzig goal: On the left wing, RB Jadon Sancho let it go, the Englishman pulled in and hit the far corner (51).

Lukas Klostermann headed a corner kick to make the connection (63.), then Dani Olmo scored after Hwang's preparatory work to equalize (77.).

The last punch line, however, belonged to BVB when Sancho scored the late 3-2 winner (87th).

While the Leipzig defeat sealed the championship of Bayern Munich prematurely, BVB can continue to hope for participation in the Champions League.

With the win, Dortmund placed fourth in the table.

VfL Wolfsburg remains on course for the Champions League places.

With the 3-0 (1-0) home win against Union Berlin, the club holds the lead over pursuers Dortmund and is still in third place in the table.

Despite three defeats in the last four league games, the Wolfsburg appeared confident and offensive right from the start, the opening goal by Josip Brekalo was logical: Brekalo used a low cross from Ridle Baku from 18 meters, his shot hit the top right in the goal of the Berliners a (12th).

Maximilian Philipp had the opportunity to extend the lead from the spin, but failed because of Union goalkeeper Andreas Luthe (26th).

Again Brekalo made the decision with two more goals after the break (63rd, 90th).

After seven league defeats in a row, Werder Bremen scored again.

In the home game against Bayer Leverkusen, however, the relegation-threatened Bremer did not go beyond a 0-0.

Werder also had the video assistant to thank for at least one point on the positive side: Florian Wirtz had pushed a cross pass from Karim Bellarabi over the goal line from close range, but was just offside (35th).

So Werder remained, even offensively harmless, the draw in a game with few opportunities.

In 14th place in the table, Bremen is separated by one point from the relegation rank, two points up to a direct relegation place.

Leverkusen remains in sixth place.

FC Schalke 04 had won two wins this season before the 32nd matchday, including a 4-0 home win in the first leg against TSG Hoffenheim.

In the second leg it looked halfway through as if the Gelsenkirchen team, who had been relegated, would win again, before the Hoffenheim team turned a 2-0 break to a 4-2 win with great efficiency.

Former Mark Uth from Hoffenheim gave coach Dimitrios Grammozis' team the lead (12th), while ex-national player Shkodran Mustafi headed a corner kick into the goal just before the break to make it 2-0 (42nd).

Up until then, Hoffenheim had largely determined the game, but presented themselves without luck in front of the Schalke goal.

That changed after the break: Andrej Kramaric pocketed a direct free kick (47th), Kevin Akpoguma after a corner (52nd) and Christoph Baumgartner after a free kick (60th) turned the game with two headed goals.

Ihlas Bebou completed a combination for the fourth Hoffenheim goal in 17 minutes (64th).

This means that Hoffenheim, currently in eleventh place in the table with 39 points, can no longer relegate mathematically.
