The three clubs complain about the treatment reserved for them by the football authorities: "The founding clubs have suffered, and continue to suffer, pressure, threats and unacceptable offenses from third parties so that they abandon the project. and therefore waive their right and their duty to provide solutions to the football ecosystem through concrete proposals and constructive dialogue. ”

They also denounce a lack of communication: "UEFA and FIFA have so far refused to establish an adequate communication channel."

They recall the need for the project, the vision of which was initially shared by all: “The 12 founding clubs shared the same concerns - like other stakeholders in European football -, particularly in the current socio-economic context, namely that structural reforms are essential for our sport to remain attractive and survive in the long term. ” The project should be “with the greatest respect for the current structures and ecosystem of football”.

The last three members of the Super League still place themselves as savers of a football in distress, judging "irresponsible" to abandon this project: "To honor our history, to respect our obligations towards our stakeholders and our fans, for the For the sake of football and for the financial sustainability of the sector, we have a duty to act responsibly and to persevere in the search for adequate solutions, despite the unacceptable and continuing pressures and threats received from UEFA. ”

In this press release, they also recall that legally, UEFA could not prevent the project: “This situation is intolerable with regard to the rule of law and the courts have already ruled in favor of the Super League project, ordering the FIFA and UEFA, directly or through their affiliated bodies, to refrain from taking any measure likely to hinder this initiative. ”

At the end of the press release, the three survivors of the project address a small cleat to the defected clubs: "We regret to see that our friends and founding partners of the Super League project find themselves today in such an incoherent and contradictory position whereas they yesterday signed a number of commitments to UEFA. ”

Finally, Real Madrid, Juventus de Turin and FC Barcelona recall that they are ready to discuss with the authorities, where Gianni Infantino had placed himself this morning as mediator between UEFA and the remaining clubs of the Super League. : "We reiterate to FIFA, UEFA and all football stakeholders, (...) our commitment and our determination to discuss, with respect and without intolerable pressure and in accordance with the rule of law, solutions most suitable for the sustainability of the whole football family.
