Chinese businessman James Zhou has been officially appointed president of AJ Auxerre, 6th in Ligue 2, in which he is the majority shareholder, replacing Francis Graille, AJA announced on Monday.
Zhou took control of the icaunais club in 2016 through his company ORG Technology, specializing in food packaging, which he founded in 1994, which is listed on the stock exchange and which he chairs.

Francis Graille (66), former manager of Lille (1999-2002) and Paris Saint-Germain (2003-2005), remains on the board of directors of the simplified joint-stock company (SAS) of AJ Auxerre, which 'he chaired since 2017. While there is one day of the championship, the AJA coached by Jean-Marc Furlan is two points behind Paris FC, 5th in the race to qualify for the play-offs of accession in Ligue 1. The return to the elite, which the club left in 2012, has been James Zhou's goal since 2016.
