Osman Qeku is no longer the goalkeeping coach of VfB Hallbergmoos in the new season.

The successor has already been determined.

Hallbergmoos

- Osman Qeku (48) is a legend among the footballers at VfB Hallbergmoos.

The always young goalkeeper celebrated great successes with the club, is currently the goalkeeping coach of VfB and ready for any comeback in the event of any bottlenecks.

At the end of the season, however, the paths separate - the Hallbergmooser want to set new impulses for the goalkeeper of the first team with a new coach.

Sporting director Anselm Küchle has now announced that Carsten Altstadt (30) will look after VfB's goalkeepers in the future.

Sports director Küchle: "That was not an easy decision."

Küchle says clearly that this change of course was difficult for him: "That was not an easy decision, because Osman Qeku was always a loyal companion of ours, and he will be welcomed in Hallbergmoos in the future as well." The 48-year-old is something like the "always good-humored optimist" - and was not too bad for anything: In the 2019/21 season he was once in the reserve goal and won with her the important regional class game against Türk Gücü Erding 2-1.

In 2018/19 he helped out four times when there was a shortage of personnel in the national league team.

Qeku came to VfB in 2011 and made the leap into the national league with the club.

He completed 33 regional and 39 regional league games and has been a goalkeeping coach to date.

"We just want to set new impulses now," said Küchle when introducing Carsten Altstadt, who is currently the goalkeeping coach at the Bayern league club SV Pullach.

Altstadt has top-class coaching certificates and has already worked with VfB coach Gedi Sugzda at the Munich football school.

The new goalkeeping coach meets another old friend in Hallbergmoos: In his last Bayernliga game on April 22, 2017 (5-2 win by SV Pullach against Kirchanschöring), he played with Peter Beierkuhnlein, who is playing assistant coach in Hallbergmoos.

Again it shows how small the world of football is and that upscale amateur footballers see each other twice and tend to see each other more often.

The new goalkeeper coach knows the Bayern League

Küchle hopes that the change in the coaching staff will bring new approaches and technical improvements to the goalkeepers.

Since the club is almost certain to be the first to climb into the Bayern League via the quotient rule, you then have a goalkeeping coach who knows the new league and thus also the requirements for the goalkeepers.
