Spaniard Rafael Nadal qualified today for the semi-finals of the Rome Trophy Tournament after defeating his German rival Alexander Zverev today by two sets to none by 6-3 and 6-4 respectively.
In the semi-final, he is set to meet world-ranked 47th American Riley Opleka.
World number three Nadal lost to world sixth seed Zverev for the first time in a clay court tournament in the Spanish capital last week.
This is the first time Nadal has reached the last square of a Masters tournament this year.
