While the future of his trainer Vincent Bordot is not yet decided, the Red Star is in discussions with Habib Beye to integrate s

The Red Star ends its season, which will remain a failure with a non-climb in L2, with a last trip this Saturday (6 pm) to SC Bastia, National champion.

But the club is already focused on next season.

If a major overhaul of the workforce is expected, the most urgent issue to settle is that of the future coach.

At the end of his contract, Vincent Bordot will meet his president Patrice Haddad next Thursday.

It is rather appreciated internally and could be offered an extension.

Bordot is also followed in L2 and National (Le Mans, Orléans, Annecy…).

But according to our information, Patrice Haddad is also aiming for a prestigious name to sit on the bench of the Red Star: Habib Beye.

It would even be his number 1 choice.

Flagship consultant on Canal + where he has served for 8 years, the former Senegalese international defender of OM (43) has never hidden his desire to embark on his coaching career.

He began to graduate and as part of his BEF, he had also joined the staff of two clubs in the Paris region in National 2: the ACBB (2018-2019) and Poissy (2019-2020) at the alongside Laurent Fournier.

Offers in L1?

Beye is one of ten candidates for the BEPF (a diploma that would allow him to train until L1) of the 2021-2022 promotion. “Coaching is an obsession for me. Even in my job as a consultant, I realize that the way I analyze matches is almost an obsession, ”he explained in a long interview to the Team last February where he explained that he was“ ready ”and also have already set up a staff (performance manager, video analyst, field assistant) with whom he worked “in white”.

His arrival would provide a huge spotlight for the Red Star.

But competition is also important on this issue.

Habib Beye's profile appeals to several clubs from L1 (Angers…) or L2 (Caen) with whom he has already discussed.

But on the level of his future team, he said: "it would be lacking in humility not to consider the interest of an L2 or National club with pro status".

If Beye will be part of the future technical staff of the Red Star, he could be supported - or support, another coach.

President Haddad is expected to finalize the composition of his staff by the end of next week.
