Will the league enter June?

After the heavy volley to Gush Dan and further north, the assessment is strengthened that on Monday they will not return to play football in the Premier League as planned, including the Cup semi-final match between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The director of the leagues and the Football Association will tonight (Saturday) conduct a situation assessment with all security officials and in any case there is still more than 48 hours until the games at the end of Pentecost, so there is time to decide tonight and even tomorrow morning.

It is not inconceivable that in light of the fighting in Israel, the Football Association will have to apply to the UEFA and apply for a permit to end the league beyond the date required by the UEFA schedule.

Will the Cup semi-final be postponed again?

As you may recall, the Premier League and the National League were not played yesterday and today, but a game schedule was set for Monday that includes league games and the Cup semi-final which is under the responsibility of the Football Association.

At this stage, when the fighting continues, missiles are fired at Israel, the riots in the mixed cities and in general in the Arab communities do not stop and there is also a fear of a significant flare-up in Judea and Samaria, it is doubtful whether it will be possible to play football again.

Although games without an audience require fewer police officers, it is still a matter of allocating a certain amount of power and it is not clear whether the police will be able to afford it, especially since in the cities where rocket fire is fired there is no permit for many people to gather together.

See no point in playing at this time.

The league administration is following what is happening in Ashdod, which is supposed to host Hapoel Beer Sheva for the game postponed from last Monday.

The team does not train and also made it clear to the principal that they will not be able to play after so many days of suspension from training.

It is estimated that if there is no ceasefire today or at the latest by tomorrow noon and the missiles continue, the chances of playing football on Monday will be very low.
