The National season ended on Saturday in Corsica for the Red Star and Créteil. The two Ile-de-France representatives returned with two defeats, which do not have the same consequences. The Red Star was beaten (3-1, Durand's goal) in Furiani by SC Bastia who celebrated their title of National champion. The Saint-Ouen club finished 7th, which is a failure, and will therefore have to remain a third season in National. The big maneuvers have already started. As we revealed on Friday, the Red Star will very quickly formalize the arrival of Habib Beye in its organization chart. In the 2021-2022 promotion of the BEPF, the Canal + consultant does not have the right to train a pro club as number 1. Beye will therefore work with another trainer who should be appointed quickly. At the end of the contract,Vincent Bordot will be received Thursday by its president Patrice Haddad. He could be offered an extension but is also requested in L2 and National.
On the side of Créteil, we are far from these considerations. Winner of Laval on Monday (2-1), Emmanuel Da Costa's team ended 10 games (8 defeats, 2 draws without success. But it plunged heavily back to Bastia-Borgo (3-0). The Corsicans therefore come back to Créteil who finished 17th in the National, just ahead of SC Lyon. The Val-de-Marnais club is now awaiting the decisions taken by the FFF on the number of runs, certainly during the Comex which will take place this Thursday. If it seems certain that there will be at least one relegation, that of the last one, Créteil, thus finishing penultimate, put himself in great danger. To leave a championship with an even number of teams ( 16) and possibly start to prepare a reduction in L1 and L2 (to 18), the FFF could indeed decide to bring down at least two teams.
