Munich - As soon as the farewell to Miro Klose is clear, FC Bayern * has to prepare for the next major departure: Club legend Hermann Gerland will leave the club at the end of the season.

, the 66-year-old will not be part of Julian Nagelsmann's coaching staff.
This is the end of nothing less than an era.
Gerland worked for FC Bayern for 30 years, most recently as assistant to coach Hansi Flick.
Born in Bochum, he outlived a few trainers on Säbener Strasse: coaches came, coaches left - but Gerland was always there.

Gerland has been involved in all of the great successes of the last few decades.
Among other things, he assisted Pep Guardiola, Jupp Heynckes, Louis van Gaal and, until the end of the current season, triple coach Hansi Flick.
At times he also worked in the youth division of Munich.

report, he will not take a new job on Säbener Straße.
Apparently, he does not want to end his career - he is open to a new commitment in the Bundesliga.
There is not yet an official statement from FC Bayern on the farewell to Gerland.

The new Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann will bring his own coaching team to Munich.
Personal details have not yet been clarified (at least publicly).
So far, however, it was assumed that Gerland would also find a place there.
A few days ago, Miroslav Klose confirmed his departure *. The current assistant coach will leave Bayern just like Hansi Flick - whether the two will form a team at the DFB in the future is still open, but does not seem unlikely.
