At the end of the contract in June, the German player extended his lease for three more seasons in Paris on Monday.

The adventure continues for Julian Draxler (27), at the end of his contract in June.

Announced for several days, the extension of the German midfielder is recorded.

The former Schalke 04 player signed this Monday for three additional seasons in Paris, that is until June 2024. The officialization should not delay.

During a meeting between the parties three weeks ago, PSG had set as a non-negotiable condition a decrease in the player's salary.

Draxler and his entourage weren't too keen at first, but they finally agreed.

Likewise, after wishing for a two-year extension, they ended up accepting the three years proposed by PSG.

Last summer, Leeds had positioned themselves to reclaim the German from episodic appearances under the Tuchel era.

Sevilla had also come to the information in recent months, while Bayern Munich had also taken information, but without making an offer.

The arrival of Pochettino has changed the game

Draxler arrived in January 2017 in the PSG of Unai Emery against 36 million euros paid to Wolfsburg.

Despite a good start, he will never become essential, barred from the following summer by the arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.

Under Thomas Tuchel, he will also play the utilities.

But the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino has changed the situation.

He has evolved in particular this season in the Champions League in the round of 16 second leg against Barcelona and during the two meetings in the quarter-finals against Bayern Munich.

Draxler has played 20 of Pochettino's 26 games at the helm of PSG.

He started against Reims (4-0) on Sunday night.

He was also forced to give up his place in the first period due to muscle discomfort.
