That is a clear vote: over 71 percent of football clubs voted for BFV variant 1.

TSV Eching is one of the losers in this model.

district

- The die is cast, the Bavarian clubs have decided. It has long been clear that the 2019/21 football season, which was canceled due to the corona pandemic, will be evaluated according to the quotient rule. But now it is clear: There will be direct promotions and relegations in the individual divisions, the relegation will be canceled - and many teams from the district are looking into the tube. For example TSV Eching, which is second in the Northern District League and does not advance to the regional league. Or the SpVgg walls from district class 3, which is slipping to a place of relegation due to the quotient and thus has to take the bitter step into the A-class. The people from Wall had hoped for the alternative solution "only climbers, no relegations" - but it fell through in the favor of clubs with kettledrums and trumpets.

Less than 30 percent vote for model 2

The Bavarian Football Association (BFV) published the result of the vote among its clubs on Tuesday - and it is a clear picture of the opinion: A majority of 71.14 percent (2115 votes) has spoken out in favor of it, in accordance with the paragraph 93 the quotient regulation provided for in the rules of the game, there are direct promoters and relegators in the individual football leagues and relegation does not apply.

The alternative model, according to which all clubs that are on a promotion and relegation place, taking into account the quotient rule, can be promoted and relegation does not come into play, only met with 28.86 percent of the clubs.

This means that this variant received only 858 votes.

The turnout was 80.46 percent.

TSV Eching: Hauke saw it coming

The fact is: Model 2 would have inflated leagues in the coming seasons and thus in some cases greatly increased relegation zones.

But it would have made more clubs happy.

"We are sad.

But we now have clarity and can align the planning with the district league, ”says Rudolf Hauke, chairman of the TSV Eching district league.

“In its webinar, the BFV presented variant two, ie the one without relegation, a little more critically.

I expected this result of the vote - but not in terms of clarity. "

FC Moosburg already relegated

Also affected by the vote for variant one are the footballers of FC Moosburg, who are relegated for the second time in a row after a messed up season and will compete in the district class in the future.

Chairman Robert Heilmaier can even see something positive about the whole thing: “First of all, we have had to reckon for a long time that things will go down a class.

And secondly, it might be good for us to make a fresh start in the district class after a long dry spell, hopefully to win more games again and then come back stronger. "

SV Vötting accepts the club's vote

There, in the next round, the Dreirosenstadters will meet the footballers of SV Vötting, for whom the issue of promotion has been settled with the vote for demolition model 1 for this year.

"It is of course a shame that the way to the district league with this result is no longer possible this year," says SVV department head Jannis Göft-Michaelis.

“In terms of sport, we would certainly have expected our chances.

Both variants definitely had advantages and disadvantages.

That is why we understand all the clubs that have decided on model 1 and of course we accept the result. "

VfB is looking forward to "great derbies"

In the coming season, the footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos will be playing in the Bavarian League - although sports director Anselm Küchle would have preferred a different kind of promotion: “This is a situation like never before.

We were in a state of limbo for weeks - and now the emotions about the ascent fall under the table.

You can't run into the square and party.

We would have liked to have made the promotion over a full season on the pitch.

But we are athletes and we are happy.

We'll have a beer or two if that's possible again.

Now we're looking forward to new opponents and new stadiums.

Games against FC Ismaning and VfR Garching are sure to be great derbies. "

More details on voting

A total of 3695 clubs throughout Bavaria that take part in adult games were called to cast their vote.

Each club had one vote.

Ultimately, 2,973 clubs made use of their right to vote.

The BFV commissioned an external service provider with the technical implementation of the coordination and the determination of the result.
