Heads down, several Paris FC players remain prostrate. The disappointment is enormous. The Parisians lost (2-0) in Grenoble and their season ended there. As two years ago against Lens (1-1, 5-4 on penalties), the adventure of Paris FC in the play-offs ends in the first game of the play-offs. The Club de la Capitale will therefore leave next July for a 5th year in Ligue 2. This season when the Parisian club had flown over the start of the season (8 wins out of the first 10 games) before experiencing a big air gap then pulling himself together to secure his place in the Top 5 (he has never been classified further than 6th place), will undoubtedly leave some regrets. But it installed it among the clubs which count in L2 and confirmed its rise in power in the landscape of French football.

For this dam, René Girard had chosen to bring freshness and leave his thirty-something (Belaud, Martin, Nomenjanahary) on the bench.
During their last five confrontations in L2, Grenoble had never beaten the Parisians or even scored a goal (3 wins, 2 draws for the PFC).
But Mandouki and his family did not get into the game at all.
A delay in ignition quickly sanctioned by a goal from Anani who took advantage of a big defensive error (1-0, 8th).
There is little better then with in particular a strike from Cyril Mandouki who touched the post (25th).
But without Warren Caddy and Gaëtan Laura injured, and with a Lamine Diaby Fadiga who must find rhythm and benchmarks (six months off and first start this season), the Parisians lack edge offensively.
And, on a new defensive error, Vincent Demarconnay avoids the 2-0 against Anani (45th + 2).
René Girard gets angry on his bench
The Paris FC goalkeeper, 38, who is in discussions to extend his career next season or begin his conversion to the club, allows his team to stay in the game on a new good save after a strike from Benet (58th).
Without many solutions, Girard, whom we have often seen getting angry on his bench, multiplies the changes (4) and launches another returning to the center-forward position, Morgan Guilavogui, who just made his return on Saturday against in Chambly after a four-month injury.

If they pushed and multiplied the free kicks, the Parisians did not manage to deceive Maubleu despite several hot situations in the area. And on a counter, Semedo extinguished their last hopes (2-0, 87th). The Stade des Alpes where Grenoble has lost only once this season (against Clermont promoted to L1) therefore remains an almost insurmountable mountain for its opponents. The Isérois will challenge Toulouse on Friday at the Stadium. Paris FC players are on vacation.

It is a disappointment.
This does not detract from our beautiful season.
We still have to progress.
Twice in the top five in 3 seasons, the club continues to grow and we hope to come back even stronger next season.
