Maccabi Haifa President Yaakov Shachar told Walla!

Sports about everything that happened today around the semi-finals of the State Cup, the game in question against Maccabi Tel Aviv, which will arrive tomorrow at the door of the Supreme Court of the Football Association.

"As soon as Maccabi Tel Aviv asked to postpone the semi-final on the grounds that its foreigners had left the country and they needed time to bring them back, I agreed," Shahar said.

"I agreed to postpone the semifinals and said they would find dates for the remaining games."

"We sat in the football association for over two hours in the afternoon to find a solution. Representatives of the principal also came and everyone really tried to find dates so that the game would move from this coming Thursday."

Shahar continued: "The only solution found was to play five games in ten days. Three league games next week in six days and then a semi-final and final in four days. A total of five games in ten days. I could not agree to that. It is already dangerous for the players' health."

Shahar added: "Players need to be released for the national teams, there is a game for the Israeli national team. All this did not allow the association to further profit from the schedule."

Shahar also reminded everyone who started attacking him tonight from Maccabi Tel Aviv what was in 2003. "I do not like to talk about it, but since others have been talking about it for 18 years, I will only mention that whoever thinks I am dishonest, in 2003 I allowed Hapoel Fatah "Hope to host Maccabi Tel Aviv in Ramat Gan so that they will make a nice income from the sale of 35,000 tickets. To this day, I am reminded that I did not have this game in the stable in Petah Tikva and maybe that is why Maccabi Tel Aviv won the championship at our expense."

An official statement from Maccabi Haifa stated: "In a discussion held today, regarding the continuation of the Cup and League games in the Football Association, club president Yaakov Shachar agreed to postpone the semifinal game. The proposed solution - to play four crucial games in nine days, has not been accepted. We accepted the many postponements, now that the calendar does not allow for further postponements, the expected release of the players in less than two weeks for the various teams, we see the decision to play in a relatively quiet area, without an audience, as the required decision. "
