More than 10 million viewers followed Tuesday on TF1 and M6 the announcement by Didier Deschamps of the list of players who will play the Euro with the French team, according to data from Médiamétrie released on Wednesday. The sequence animated live by Nathalie Iannetta and Marie Portolano was watched by 7.6 million viewers on average on TF1, with a peak of 7.8 million being broadcast. On M6, around 3 million people watched the composition announcement with a peak of 3.2 million.

The two channels, which will broadcast Euro-2020 unencrypted (alongside beIN which broadcasts the competition in encrypted), shared the announcement of this list, at 8:20 p.m., as well as Didier Deschamps' explanations on its composition and on the surprise return of striker Karim Benzema within the Blues, after a five-year eclipse. TF1 and M6 announced their merger project on Monday.

More generally, the 20H of TF1 presented by Gilles Bouleau, during which this sequence was broadcast, followed by an exclusive interview with Kylian MBappé, garnered 7 million viewers and an audience share (PDA) of 27.8 %, clearly leading the evening's audiences.

For its part, the 19.45 of Xavier de Moulins, extended because of this news, brought together 3.2 million people on average and displays a PDA of 13.2%.
