The few drops of rain did not spoil the party.

This Wednesday morning, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation organized its big day dedicated to children.

400 children from various Foundation programs, such as the Red and Blue School, the “Allez les Femmes” program which supports women and children victims of violence, or the adapted football team made up of young people from Institutes medical educators, but also children from the partner association Emmaüs Solidarité, were able to take part in this exceptional day in the legendary enclosure of the Parc des Princes.

After a tour of the stadium and its backstage, the children took part in 18 sporting, fun and cultural workshops set up by the educators of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation on the lawn of the Parc des Princes.

Former players of the capital club such as Jessica Houara, Sabrina Delannoy, Laurent Fournier, Omar Da Fonseca, Fabrice Pancrate and Éric Rabesandratana led the various workshops.

"A sort of Champions League for associations"

Luis Fernandez was also in the game. The former player and coach of PSG said he was "very sensitive" to the event. "When you see happy children like that, it touches me," said Luis Fernandez, winner in particular of the European Cup winners' Cup in 1996 as PSG coach. The children are there, in a magnificent stadium. I am happy to be able to spend this moment with them, to take pictures, to exchange with the adults too. The Foundation is doing its utmost to help these young people. You have to be present. I cannot remain insensitive. When I hear about the problems in the neighborhoods, I tell myself that we should have taken care of them 30-40 years ago. For me, PSG and the Foundation are engaged in a sort of Champions League for associations. Some would say they can afford it, yes, but they do.They occupy the land and that land is also important. It must be said. Taking care of these kids now is essential. "

There were many smiles on the faces of the children who were surprised to receive a visit from artists Wejdene and Fianso, emblematic figures of the new generation.

The young singer, accompanied by her manager Feuneu, and the rapper have captured the attention of the youngest who have not failed, for some, to push the song on their greatest titles.

The good-natured atmosphere has spread to the older ones. Before his departure, Fianso even took care to introduce Luis Fernandez to the younger ones. Something to rejoice in Candice Prévost, operations manager of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation: “We are very proud to be able to bring an event like this to life for children despite the health crisis, and to have been able to count on our former players and players to offer them moments of joy and sharing. This day at the Parc des Princes is the symbol of the sports and educational actions carried out with these children throughout the year by the Foundation and its partners. Each year, more than 16,000 children benefit from the Foundation's various programs.
